I have a mouthpiece I love but the rim is not working for me. Can anyone share any pros and cons of a screw rim mouthpiece? |

If you decide to go through with a screw rim, make sure that there is attention paid to the rim properly screwing onto and matching the underpart. I know someone that received this combo and the rim did not properly screw on so there was a small gap in the threads between the two parts. |

Bob Reeves does this. He does great work on any mouthpiece rim modification.

I had a few pieces done by Reeves and was pretty happy with the results. The only caveat I offer is that you should know that just because the rims are threaded don't believe that you can then mix and match parts. Once threaded, the two parts need to be machined to eliminate any resulting step. _________________ "I'm an engineer, which means I think I know a whole bunch of stuff I really don't."
