I picked up a vintage horn the other day and this mute was in the case.
Based on other things in the case, it doesn't look like it's been opened since the 60s, so this mute was probably of the same era.
I'm sorta loving the copper bottom, but I'm having trouble finding anything exactly like it online.
Does anybody have one like this or can someone ID the manufacturer? I've seen all copper Harmon-made mutes but I didn't know if they made a half aluminum half copper. The angle near the cork seems steeper than I'm used to with Harmon brand too.
Would appreciate any help! Thanks!

Looks like a '50's era Harmon brand mute-in those days they didn't have the scoring on the sides. I have one of these and also one from the early '60's-both w/o the scoring. Great sounding mutes! _________________ '56 Martin Committee Deluxe #2 trumpet
