Hi all,
Is the monette silver 2 basically a silver plated b2s3 LT? How do the two differ? Thanks.

honestly just email the Monette company. BJ can help you. Everyone else is pretty much just guessing.

The rim and cup are the same as the B2S3, but I don't believe the throat and backbore are the same. As previously suggested, the folks at Monette can help you with mouthpiece selection if you are deciding between the two.

Good luck!

I have one of the first silver ones made (might be the first), and it says B6S1 82. And the throat is a 23 or very close. I don’t know if the S1 and 82 apply to the 2 size. I’m sure someone at Monette would be happy to tell ya.

I believe the S1 refers to it having a "slap" cup, and the 82 is the backbore. Both of those numbers were missing from the Silver Series mouthpieces I have seen. Obviously, Monette can provide an authoritative response.
