Everyone remembers (maybe not the youngsters) the Mailman's Creed:

“Neither rain nor snow, nor sleet nor dark of night shall stay these couriers from the swift completion of their appointed rounds.”

But that was before the days of the Wuhan virus.

For those of us who like to buy, sell and trade trumpets and trumpet accessories, do you think we'd best hold off for a while?

It seems that in chaotic, uncertain times such as these things may well disappear into a black hole. What do you think? Do you think any particular carrier may be safer than others?

Well, delivering the mail is a solitary job, so no problem in-and-of itself. But processing it is not and if I were you, I'd keep my eye peeled for a generic announcement, holding off in the meantime.

Personally, I NEVER use the USPS, mostly because their tracking system is pretty much worthless. I’ve had shipments basically disappear into their system, luckily they EVENTUALLY were delivered. But if you want an exercise in futility try to trace something, or worse, contact them.
