Recorded a setting/arrangement of Eric Satie's Gynompedie No. 1 for Trumpet and Cello.

Don't know about you, but this definitely captures my current "Social Distance" mood.

Oh yeah...and sad kitties (courtesy of Shutterstock.com)

Didn't the Gymnopedie segment in "Allegro Non Troppo" feature a sad, starving cat with enormous eyes?

Never saw it but according to Wikipedia the music for the cat scene is Valse Triste by Sibelius.

I saw it when it first came out. I love that film.

Not to distract too much from the OP. But another great Satie moment was when I saw Mnozil Brass play live what I recall was one of the Gnossiennes. It was surreal.

Well you could acknowledge how much you -ahem- LOVED the video posted by the "OP" before you derailed the thread...

but that's ok...

no really...

actually - truly sorry - missed your early acknowledgement - just having a little fun anyway.

Very nice. Great playing. Thanks for posting.
Not really feeling like a sad kitty about the social distancing thing yet, but I can see why many would.

It's all good.

I've loved Satie since my brief time studying piano decades past. Never dared it on trumpet and no way I could do it justice on par with what you've done. Slow and exposed like that is tough. And kudos on the original accompaniment. It really takes it to a whole other level.
