|
|
Hello!
I want to buy 2 new mouthpieces, but I have no idea what companies produce the kind of mouthpieces I'm looking for.
I'm looking for a lead mouthpice that is a rip off of "the Holy Grail", and a lead mouthpiece for drum corps/military band.
What are the brands I should look into?
I found 2 nice pieces on legendsbrass.com, but the price would be 260$ + shipping + 100$ additional tax because it's from the US. And the additional tax is aaaaah because I'm a poor student.
I just need a hint where to start looking I guess.
Thanks in advance, |

You could consider AR Resonance. They make very high quality mouthpieces and have tons of customization options. I'm sure they'll be able to help you out. And depending on where you live, there may even be a dealer where you can test some of their work. |

The premier maker in Europe would have to be Breslmair - workmanship is simply stunning and they have a wide range of options.
I've enjoyed AR and Frate pieces, too. |

Not a mouthpiece maker but a retailer, Musik Bertram in Freiburg, Germany is a very experienced house with some first-class clientele.

PS: Bernd Schramm who I added the Sonic Link above has a VERY good reputation on the German Trompetenforum. This is hearsay, as I never had to do with him, but he seems to customize pretty much anything as far as mouthpieces go.
I also forgot Dowids: http://www.dowids.de/index.php?inh=mundst
