Hello all! I just picked up a used Bach TR500 and starting back after 25 years. Need lots of advice on what to actually purchase for the long term.

Welcome back to trumpet playing! If the Bach is mechanically reliable it will serve you well for at least a few years. It will not hold you back.

There are a number of trumpet teachers who offer lessons via Skype, Zoom, etc. You might consider taking at least a few lessons to help develop a practice routine that makes sense for you, avoid bad habits, etc.

Good luck!

Not sure if you found this post:

It's got a long list of trumpet teachers. It took me a bit to find. And it could use updating but it's a great start.

There are many great teachers out there. Definitely find one that you like. I found checking out YouTube also helped me. That way I could get a 'feel' for the teacher and their style.

Good luck with your comeback !
Mark
