Looks amazing.
My Inderbinen is four months out and that just got feeling like a lot longer.

So, you have one on order? What are you getting, a trumpet or flugelhorn? The waiting didn't bother me, but the payment and shipping process was a bit stressful. With that said, the people at Inderbinen are wonderful.

Just saw this. Beautiful instrument. Congratulations.
Now I know there is one in Virginia at least!

Basso with trigger modified for right hand.

What was the payment/shipping drama? I’m in Canada.

It arrived!! International shipping took less than a week, and everything checks out. The good people at Inderbinen know what they are doing. Check out the initial clip below.

So how do you like it after a month? I've always lusted after this particular boutique flugelhorn. I saw your FB video of the unboxing. I'm amazed you had the restraint to film it! 😀

I absolutely love it. Intonation, sound, response... it's all good. It is a unique horn in that it has its own sound and feel, but it's worth every penny. When I say unique, I mean it's not a heavy beast. Rather, it's a sophisticated lady, and with practice, it responds in an amazing fashion. And yes, the intonation is great. If a note sounds off (due to fatigue, etc.) I'm never far off from locking back in. i never had a horn that could respond like that. And the sound... just listen to Roy Hagrove's studio version of Starmaker. It's that good in person, too.

As for the unboxing, I waited all day for it. When it did arrive, I was so excited that I couldn't stop breathing so heavy. It takes a leap of faith to order a fine instrument like this straight from an international builder, but like i said before, the people at Inderbinen are first class. Order with confidence!

I know this post was from a while ago, but I'm just checking in to let you know there is an Inderbinen dealer in the US now---and it's me! I stock the Flugelhorn Wood as well as a number of their other models.

Cheers,

Cool. I loved the sound Roy Hargrove produced on that flugel.

Good point. The website is still fairly new and I just haven't gotten there yet. But thanks so much for checking out my website!

The Inderbinen Wood fluegelhorn is amazing. I really like your website, and I'm very glad to see an Inderbinen dealer in the United State Maybe we can talk about an Alpha 110.

Here’s Roy Hargrove playing “What a Wonderful World” on the Inderbinden:

It’s the best demonstration of how special the Wood can sound.

Ooo that Roy Hargrove example is nice. Of course, everyone has their own sound on any horn, but in my opinion what makes the Wood special is the way it makes you feel when you play it. The warmth of its overtones sizzles around you and makes the fine hairs on the sides of your face and on your arms stand up. This just cannot be captured well on a recording.

Mrs. Robinson, I think you're trying to seduce me . . . into buying one of these marvels.

That’s interesting. I’ve never heard of a horn causing such a tactile effect.
I look forward to trying (and feeling) the Wood next month!
