This is worth a watch if anyone has missed it!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EUs7nENq_Xc&
My two biggest take away were 1) to get back to a more meticulous approach to practice and start using a time and a hit/miss counting system and 2) it really encouraged me to go back and work more on my anchor tonguing which has become sloppier than I realised.
Getting that tip at the point where the lower teeth meet the gums for me seemed to immediately add some security to my playing that I didn't realise was missing! I do anchor tongue but my tip has at some point floated up towards the top of my lower teeth, and it just doesn't work as well with the tip there I have discovered! |

I've watched that before, it's absolutely great. He plays a few extremely startling high notes in there! What a great sound! Time to practice... _________________ Yamaha 8310Z trumpet

I've listened to that before, but one thing that I was reminded of this time around, and it should be obvious, is that there is so much more to trumpet playing than just high notes. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird
