I'd give you a "like" but there's no like button and no way to boost your reputation so "+1" will have to do!!!

First off, my goal is not to diss the site. Just to offer one perspective.

Well, one thing that vexes me, is that I've had it up to here (the Germans say so descriptively, "a nose full"). I've had it with reading jokes and looking at pretty pictures.

The vex comes in, is that I'm pretty much a 'defensive player", so unless someone else has something meaty to say/ask, I don't really contribute. And as far as me offering topics for discussion, I get the impression that, except for only a small handful of forum members, there is not the interest or the background to add to such a discussion.

I don't mean this disingenuously, but I'm just not sure how much technical and musical depth present readers have to fall back on. It seems like a glorified Lounge to me.

Now, if there are players looking for a "safe" place to share non-musical topics with, fair enough. But that's not what I'm looking for, hence my disappointment.

Kehaulani is a positive guy and has good intentions. The problem with TB is the unsecure way of management. I don't think there is a bad intention anyway.
Some weeks ago I logged out there for good and a few days ago I was able to delete my account there (thanks to Voltrane's question on that forum about how to do that, I couldn't find out myself).
Why?
Because I felt very unsafe there after some member of TB seems to have access to (the content of) my private mails between me and the administrator (I could not find any other public way for the source of his knowledge) and that member felt secure enough to use that knowledge in a public mail.
So safe? Anyhow not for me.
The way I see it, TB is not a trumpet forum but more some kind of facebook for a certain group of trumpetplayers to exchange jokes, stories and pictures of all kind, by chance trumpet related.

Yes, Kehaulani is a positive guy. No doubt. It was only for the fun I posted the link.
There is also other very good people on this site but I agree with you regarding the management. That’s why I left.
To make it short, as said thousands years ago “ Woe to thee, O land, when thy king is a child “
So nothing new.
Regards.
