i wonder if these were the same cats making bags for Glenn?

the patterns are almost like Glenn's but different enough not to infringe
on his stuff.

i like that they returned the zipper closing near the bell on the trumpet case just like the original RB cases.

i like the look of them and wish them well.

One thing that really annoys me with all these bags is how they never provide a decent pocket for accessories and music. How hard can it be to add a large enough pocket on the outside for a decent sized folder with music and a smaller compartment for mp‘s, oil, and stuff?

The bags look great. This is a challenging time for small businesses so I wish these guys well.

Re: pouches for music etc, I personally prefer a compact solution to carry the minimum amount of stuff. But some of my colleagues roll up to rehearsals and gigs (when we used to have them) with wheelies the size of checked luggage carrying everything they might possibly need in case the apocalypse happens in the middle of the second set.

Those carry-everything solutions exist, but that’s not the problem these guys are trying to solve.

Brad and kehaulani, I do get your points. However, I like bags that fit everything because otherwise I have to carry a trumpet case, a flugel case, a backpack with all the music and stuff. If you happen to be on a busy subway in a big city as is the case for me, this is a real nuisance because you never know where to keep your three bags.

As fas as the Torpedo is concerned I do know that but don’t like the music being rolled up as the bag is attached to the „tube“ of the Torpedo. I have been talking to Messina Covers, this could be an option especially because I’d like to have a case that fits either a piston or a rotary plus all the stuff. The one case I know that does this is the Protec triple trumpet but the backpack straps they provide are easily the least comfortable on the market.

So when I have all the gear with me I use the triple Fusion bag, which is fine. But in situations where I only need one horn the bag is too big and I always hope that someone comes up with a decent single-bag-carries-all solution.

Maybe I’ll talk to the guys at superfine as well.

MrOlds, just re-read your post. A nuclear-safety bag is not what I am looking for, just a single case that fits a horn, the small stuff, and the music plus stand. Can’t be that difficult, really. I could be happy with one of the superfine bags where they attach a decent pocket

Well, for carrying just one horn and accessories & music, I used the Gard trumpet/Flugelhorn case, minus the Flugelhorn, and used that space for my extras..

Quite a lively discussion here. Nice. The Gard bags and also the double trumpet from Bonna are under consideration at the moment. I am exchanging emails with Thomann on these. Now the Getzen cases look nice. I was not aware of the fact that one can also purchase them separately, too. Thanks for the heads-up.

@trumpetangel: I had one of the trumpet single bags but it didn’t really fit my rotary. I really like the triple for the mucho equipment gigs.
