Hi, I just got a couesnon flugelhorn from ebay.
I received it and the receiver (Is suppose is the right name, is the sliding part inside the Leadpipe) is missing.
Do you know where I can get one?
And, do you know anything about a couesnon star model?

You're in luck, GR makes just such a product. In fact lots of people who get Couesnon's switch their original leadpipe for the GR pipe because it can accept a standard size flugel mouthpiece (the original Couesnon pipe requires a piece with a French taper) and as they state on the page "...this leadpipe showed immediate improvement in soft attacks and intonation. All aspects of the Couesnon Flugel were improved."

There's a cheaper option. Jupiter leadpipes fit some old Couesnons, though you may have to cut them to a matching length, easy if you have a tube cutter.

I've used them with several different old French flugelhorns:

They work fine in my opinion, perhaps not as good as a GR (have had one of those too), but good enough.

Just to check: is there an accessory compartment in the flugelhorn case? It could be stored inside.

Hi
Not shure if those Receivers will fit-i own a Star too -and the Leadpipe is 10,8 my Yamaha 631 Leadpipe (the old one with the redbrass bell) is too big and a Courtois 154r pipe is also too big (but fits the 631...) also with Getzen Eterna (same size as Courtois,Yamaha)
maybe something changed over the Years i don't know
this was just to add a little confusion....

Get some measurements: dial or digital calipers. There are cheap ons available that will do the job
