James Morrison is so absurdly talented it's almost depressing to contemplate. Has he learned to play all of the string section yet or just bass and guitar? He's only a few instruments shy of being able to record Mahler 6 by himself. _________________ 1936 King Liberty No. 2

I was listening to my music library last night and I pulled something that I had totally forgotten about: Bob Curnow's L. A. Big Band – The Music Of Pat Metheny & Lyle Mays
Curnow used to do a lot of arranging for Stan Kenton in the 70s and I was familiar with his work including the Stan Kenton Plays Chicago album which is just fantastic.
Anyway I got to wondering who the trumpet section was and after looking it up, I remember this thread and thought "Wow, if this doesn't qualify I don't know what does...."
Bobby Shew
Buddy Childers
Don Rader
Ron Stout
Wayne Bergeron
