Kevin worked at Schilke while Renold was still alive. He worked with Tuba World for years and did/does a lot of work for the DSO guys. I've known him for almost (gulp) 40 years and have always been completely satisfied with the work he has done for me...

If you're looking to get an overhaul, Kevin advises now is the time. The school repairs are a big item and with school out for COVID, the instruments aren't coming in as much (except to burn off end of year budget) so you might want to contact Kevin. There is also the difficulty having folks come through the door due to that whole "essential business" thing. Car repair - Essential, instrument repair, guess not.

I just sent him a Flug to overhaul. I'll have him evaluate, recommend what he'd like to do and then let him at it. His overhauls include complete stripping and disassembly and then rebuild as stress free as possible. _________________ -fred

If you're in Vancouver BC, the man to see is Tak Maeda. He does excellent repair, but I don't think refinishing or valve rebuilds. tak.themusicdirector@gmail.com _________________ 1938 Martin Handcraft Imperial #2 bore, 38 bell

No need, with Tak on the scene. Unless its refinishing or valve replating. _________________ 1938 Martin Handcraft Imperial #2 bore, 38 bell
