This is a a wonderful video from Peter Bond from the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra.
He is absolutely spot on. I was fortunate to study trumpet with an Opera Singer. Lips and vocal chords are not so far apart. Watch and enjoy.

Thanks for posting!
Very similar concept to Greg Spence's, "MmmmmAhhhhhOoooooTooootootootootoo"
... and, "the Body's Concert Hall"

Denny, the Peter Bond videos and Greg Spence's teaching are certainly very complementary. I'm glad you pointed me to Greg to help with issues I was having - it's been very helpful these past few months. To see the concepts Greg teaches come through in what Peter is doing and saying in his videos confirms to me this is the right direction.
Billy, thanks for that excellent article, I had not seen it before. _________________ Matt Dalton |

I think this and the OP's link are concentrating on two different things, the same title notwithstanding. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

Peter Bond has written a tutor book that will hopefully be published soon and available to the public. I am looking forward to reading his concepts and working out of his book. |
