I watched your video. The content, once you get into it was very good.
Pardon the criticism, but I hated the introduction. If I had just run into the video on Youtube, I probably would have turned it off right when the kind of smarty pants stuff started. I would cut that kind of stuff out if I were you, but of course this is just a matter of taste. _________________ Bb: Schilke X3L AS SP, Yamaha YTR-6335S

I totally understand. It's a very tough balance to make, between being entertaining, using pop culture references, and having the "roast" type of humor which people like these days, while also presenting serious material.
There's plenty of channels with guys just talking about music theory with no sense of humor at all, which is kind of lame for me unless I'm looking for something specific.
So I'll just keep working at it until I get the right mix! _________________ Marc Osterer

Regarding your history of modes and how they were/are used, I would suggest a little brushing up on music history.
As for the rest, IMO, to it took a disproportionately excess of time to relate very little information.
Sorry, you asked. Excellent production values, though. _________________ "If you don't live it, it won't come out of your horn." Bird

I didn't touch on the history of modes at all in this video, because it was outside the scope of what I was trying to convey, so I'm not sure what you're referring to here.

I understand totally, but that's the way YouTube algorithms work these days. There's a very low chance of getting a video under 10 minutes in the recommendations of non-subscribers. It's a tough thing to get so much material in there without boring everyone. The other extreme would be to fill 10 minutes with all the details about the micro-tonality of thirds and fifths, but that's not very accessible to most viewers. As I mentioned, I'm new at this and open to suggestions.
I appreciate the input! _________________ Marc Osterer
