Anyone know about the Getzen 5C mouthpiece? How does it sound? Dark or bright?

I owe Bach megatone 5 C , 5 B trumpet
mouthpieces and standard Bach 5 C, Bach megatone 5 B cornet mouthpiece.
These sound of the mouthpieces are very full and well rounded. Love the mouthpieces on both horns. Not sure about dark or bright, but the sound quality is excellent.

From what time period? I once had a Getzen 5C that was not similar to anything I had tried.

I would say early 80s.
It sounds very different from a Bach 5c or a Denis Wick 5C

In particular I ask if you have noticed some difficulty in playing this mouthpiece. I am trying it and it seems to me it takes a lot of strength in the high notes. I have to push a lot. Maybe I need more time.
I forgot ... it is combined with a Bach 180s37

You sold it to me. That early 5C is more like a Schilke 13A.

The later one I have is very similar to a Bach 5C - especially when one includes the variability of Bach mouthpieces from a while back.

Gary.

I bought one for $ 20. Great mouthpiece, dark sound, deep bass, but it doesn't look anything like a current Bach 5C. Maybe to an old 5C Vernon. I do not know
