OK, Christmas question: Selmer Radial C66, C75, C99, C99s, or C700? The C700 would also be available with fixed and removable bell ....

Which one do you prefer and why? Intended use small group, chamber type music, and church.

No idea, and if I may piggyback a query with apologies:

I have never been able to get great intonation on a Radial.
This is clearly strictly on me, not on the multiple horns i tested.
Which Radial would be the friendliest in terms of intonation?

Why do you desire a Selmer C when there exist so many other great C manufacturers?

I have no experience with the C:s, but talking Bb:s I would chose the Radials every day. The B700 I had was one of those with interchangeable bells and I just don't like the bracing on these. Things are too loose, they don't react as I want. Deciding which Radial model is a bit tougher, I do prefer the sound of the 99 (wider, broader) but my experience is that it requires more of the player and I have to admit it's easier to sound good on the other two models.

Thanks everyone so far, will collect more opinions as we go.

@JWG: two reasons. I think Selmer horns are cool and live in an area where they can be had at decent prices.

Had a Getzen Eterna a while back, liked it but could not quite adjust to the blow. Pretty tight horn in spite of the fact that it was a large bore.
