From what I’ve gathered most of the Olds models’ valves can be used across different models, but is that also true for their cornets? I.e does anyone know whether the valves on an Ambassador cornet can be used in an Ambassador trumpet (and vice versa)?

No.

Cornet valves are longer and ports don't line up.

Ah, that's unfortunate. I'm looking for replacement valves for an Olds trumpet and I was hoping that cornet valves might work as well, to broaden my search options. I have tried the valves from an Olds Super cornet and they do fit, but cannibalizing a quality cornet in good condition isn't something I want to do. Kinda already feared that the Super cornet uses a different valve block than the other Olds cornets. Thanks for answering my question.

Thought I’d add this to the thread for any future reader looking for replacement parts: today a local store was kind enough to let me try the valves of several Ambassadors. None of them worked properly. They could be made to play (some better than others) but they offered more resistance and played nowhere as well as the original Recording’s valves.
