A huge shout out to Jim Wilt! I recently discovered this amazing player after a 23-year layoff (career and kids) and his continuing You Tube etude series has inspired me to pick up the trumpet again!! It’s fun starting to work toward studies I haven’t touched since being a trumpet major in grad school!! Thanks Jim😊

Hello.
Welcome. I have been following Jim since last March, with his Vharlier recordings. Made me get out my book and learn the rest of the etudes. He is a super player and one hell of a nice person. If you have the time, go back to episode 1 and just follow what he has done. The intros change and are very entertaining. There are other really fine players, but Jim might be the most prolific.

Wilt at times can do amazing things on trumpet. We are so fortunate that he decided to do this Herculean effort. What a wonderful gift he has given us during this terrible time. jw |
