Good job on reaching double C in the second video (plus a half semitone sharp). A while back, someone here pointed out that learning to play high notes requires actually practicing them a lot. That is true in my experience. So I'm trying to squeak them out, no matter how bad it sounds. Every once in a blue moon I can get a 3 octave F# major scale, ascending only at this point.

I’m having Jim New open a Bobby Shew lead to a 25 throat and having his gap adjuster added in hopes that I will get a fuller tone and some more volume. I play both a .460 Eclipse and a .468 Leblanc and the freer Leblanc has another note. I believe biggest changes are closest to mouth so here’s hoping my results match yours. Even tho i use much less air than i did even 6 months ago and see good progress on that front i still have a thinner tone above hi f.

I recommend Jim to everyone And he has digitized measurements of thousands of existing MPs and is very reasonable.

Shaft,
Thanks for posting videos of your high note playing.

There are a lot of people who post in this forum giving recommendations on how to play in the upper register but without actually hearing them play you don't know how much credence to put into what they are saying.
