What are the notable differences in playing a Parke mpc vs playing a Bach mpc assuming size is as similar as possible? |

Uniformity. You can play 5 Bach 1.5c’s and they’ll all be different. But, 5 640-275-24’s will all be pretty much the same.
Also, Parke’s rim shapes and cup shapes don’t change with every size. A 630 orchestral rim will have the same shape as a 650 rim. And, a 275 depth is the same depth on all models. Just scaled. Every Bach diameter has a different rim shape and different cup shape. |

They’re gonna be more similar than different. The Parke Orchestral is based on Paul Merkelo’s vintage 1X/5B/24/24 scaled to different depths and diameters. Full, powerful sound with a ton of color. These are super popular nowadays. The rim is fairly flat, and the cup shape is pretty “funnel-y.” Also the quality control is gonna be much more consistent than bach (esp. older bach). Their cataloging system can be pretty intimidating too. Looks more like a social security number than a mouthpiece, but it’s really intuitive and informative once you learn it _________________ JPS |
