Hi Mike,
Many things might have changed in the meantime, but from an older interview (01-07-2004) in SONIC, a German magazine, I got this:
-In general he likes playing vintage instruments and used to swap instruments very often (every 2-3 weeks). He now mainly sticks to a couple of his favourites: Bach, Yamaha and Martin.
-He plays (used to play?) a Bach ML-72 with lightweight bell & 7 pipe, Spada (Swiss) conversion.
-His Favourite instrument is a 1952 Martin.
-He further states that with Yamaha he is "maintaining intensive/serious talks..." (see second link).
-His flügelhorns are: an Inderbinen "Sera" and a Yamaha "Shew" (Bobby Shew was his teacher btw).
-Mouthpiece Bruno Titz 1-CWE.
Here is the link to that interview:
http://www.sonic.de/cms/musiker/till_broenner.html
The section where he talks about instruments starts before the third picture of Till.
I know Yamaha makes a YTR-6330-B "Till Brönner" trumpet; I guess Yamaha started building these trumpets shortly after the quoted SONIC interview and that the YTR-6330-B is the instrument Till is playing right now. This is a recent (2007) link to the European/German Yamaha site:
http://www.yamaha-europe.com/yamaha_europe/germany/10_musical_instruments/20_orchestra/00_highlights/07_10_26_till_broenner/index.html
I hope this is more or less what you were looking for.
Maybe someone else has a more detailed up-date.
Yours,
Maarten. |

Great reply, Maarten, thanks for that info!
Be sure to check out Till's latest release, as well as the recent release with Mark Murphy (entitled Once to Every Heart). I think Till also served as producer on this, but I may be way off base. |

Resurrecting this thread because I discovered Till after listening to Wayne's clinic from a couple days ago.
Fantastic player and puts out killer music. Can't wait to transcribe the heck out of his solos. |
