Hi fellow horn players
I just started playing Jazz and picked up a book called "Essential Elements for Jazz" by Mike Steinel.
Does anyone use this technique? My lips seem to move to much during Doo - Bah.

Clarification: Is the "bah" a breath attack? _________________ Enjoy the journey. |

No, it says for long Accent play Bah. I think it should be Doo - Dah not Bah because that would make your lips move. |

I apologize I just got the book today and I saw a note explaining. It says use "Bah" articulation when vocalizing and use "Dah" when articulating on the instrument. |
