What do you want to know, exactly. I read the article offered, but it fails to mention what FANTASTIC PLAYERS these unicorns are! I stumbled over mine (spotless, probably a shelf queen) on eBay about a year ago. At the time, I had a recent Besson Prestige, Bach 184, Benge Burbank Large bore 6X cornet, Getzen 800, and a batch of other cornets I was selling for a friend, as well as my 15 or 20 odd cornets. It outplayed them all! Great response, easy control. Took it to a friend who was a PhD and head of high brass at a local college. His opinion was the same. Only moreso. He said it DESERVED to be played, NEEDED to sing! So it is sitting in my closet waiting for us to "flatten the damn curve" and get back to playing
Frankly, I don't deserve it..... But I am going to hang on as long as I can! _________________ huntman10

I should also mention that the A6 Ambassador has absolutely NO parts in common with the Ambassador beginner line cornet. I compared everthing I could take off them. Totally different from receiver to bell. As I understand it, the Ambassador name was selected to infer the this would be an attempt at making inroads to new countries for Olds. _________________ huntman10

Interesting. Pity they made so few, if they were that good. Olds always seems to have another surprise up their sleeve. |

Looks nice. Did you have it refurbished or did it come with gold plate? |

Many years ago (1982) I had a short model Olds Ambassador from Nappe Music in Evanston, IL. they had two on the shelf (forever) and I bought one to play in a brass band. It was a very good cornet. I sold it to another member of the band after I left. |
