Eb and E won't slot.

So I've been struggling with this issue for a few weeks now. I warm up using a modified version of the Stamp routine which takes me down to pedal C and then up to double G.

F, F#, and G above high C I can negotiate with but Eb and E do not want to slot. It just feels like the target is the size of a pinhole. I can eventually land on it after dancing above and below for a second and I've tried all the valve combinations to see if that helps. This is frustrating because it's hurting the development of resonance on the higher notes I can slot more consistently. Just wanted to see if there's anything I'm missing here that may be help me out. You can see my equipment in the signature. I play the Yamaha with the CG3 as my daily driver.

Check mouthpiece to venturi gap. Sounds like it is too big.

You might do a search (even a Google search) on Yamaha and mouthpiece gap. There has been past discussion on Kanstul made mouthpiece gap and Yamaha trumpets.

Try to borrow a Yamaha mouthpiece of a similar size and see if the problem still exists. If it does then start exploring the mouthpiece to receiver end gap.
