Thanks for this, finally something that I can understand on this site
Moreover, they speak with the nice southern French accent that reminds me the good old time when the ‘northern’ like me could freely travel to the « Cote d’Azur » to get some sun... But « it was  before »...(Currently this place and specially Nice is one of the most dangerous place in France regarding Covid 19)
I will watch the whole video but at the beginning they say the Mr Derasse is more known in the USA than in France and it I think it could be true: for instance,I never heard about him! I will ask around me if anyone knows him.
May be am I the only one ! So thanks again for this « discovery ». I am curious to know what he is saying about Caruso (part of my daily practice)
And by the way, the genuine French first name is not Dominic but Dominique.
Regards

Hello Voltrane
thanks for your reply.
Yes, we're talking with nissard accent, mostly I
Regarding Covid, that's not true at all, there's a big polemic about it, but TH is not the place to talk about this.

I've just recorded yesterday the part 2 of the interview with Dominic, and we go more further in details (CC's bio, approach, principles, Dominic's routine, equipment, career, anecdotes etc). It's been very very gripping !
As soon as Dominic is able to come back in Nice, we'll do camp and concerts.
If i'm right, his name is Dominic beacause his mother is from New Zealand, but you're right, in French it's Dominique.

I'm posting the interviews on youtube and fb, also on Tous les trompettistes de facebook group.
This part 2 will be online during this week, and i'll record the part 2 of Andrea Tofanelli these next days.

Good Easter to all

I'll add that Dominic really started his career during the 80's, in his youth. He comes sometimes in France for concerts, but is not as known than in the US, except for his Dinasty's theme recording

I just sent to him a mail asking if the is a French version of « Caruso and beyond »! If not, « ce serait un comble » mais nul n’est prophète en son pays!
Regarding Covid, yes, no polemic: even in Île de France the situation is now very bad. We are in the same boat waiting for the vaccination!
Bon week-end de Pâques.

In the same boat, not to say in the same m...e !
There's unfortunately not the french version of the video serie, but it's something he has to do, indeed.
He's done a french version of "The book of the trumpet's secrets. Debunking the myths".
Bonnes Pâques et à bientôt !
