I picked up a 1937 Conn 12B a while and was never happy with the way it played using a Bach 6. I then bought an old Conn 4. The horn played much better but the inside diameter was too small. I tried a Laskey 65SB (cornet cup on a trumpet mp) that I bought at Scott’s shop years ago and bingo, I love the way it plays now. The cup and backbore volumes seem to match with the Conn 4.
