Hi - I can't find a lot on the 1200-M2 and have a local one in supposedly mint condition for equivalent of $685 USD. Wondering is its worth pursuing? |

Eterna II 'The tradition of the future'
Bore size ML though with a Large mouthpipe, whatever that is. As a Getzen fan I think you should give it a try, could be your future axe
In 1989 this was their top model so to me the price is right as well _________________ Technology alone is a poor substitute for experience. (Richard Sachs) |

I have one. My comments are here: https://www.trumpetherald.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=1542887
It's very similar to the horns Getzen made for Canadian Brass.
The Eterna-II 1200 is significantly better than the Eterna-II 700. I see the 700 as an intermediate, and the 1200 as a professional level horn.
They are good horns. That's a good price.

"Large mouthpipe"
The Allied Parts catalog gives the length of the mouthpipe (tube only) as 9 1/8 inches long. They don't list the length of any other models so maybe this is what they mean by "large". |

I believe that is the CB horn with eterna name , in my opinion the Getzen CB horns are the most underrated trumpets in the business, top notch, high end horns you can buy them for penny's some times.

Is not the CB copy , the CB copy is the eterna 1250 model but still a great horn in very good price.

The mouth-pipe on mine is exactly the same length as the mouth-pipes on other trumpets. It is the internal diameter that is visibly larger.

My bad - wrong Eterna II model. The 1200 series shows two leadpipe options - one for .460 and one for .464 |

No
The Eterna II model 1200 was only made in ML bore .460, however there where 2 models:
1200 -1 #1 regular mouthpipe
1200 -2 #2 large mouthpipe
I guess #1 is like a 25 style mouthpipe and #2 more like a 43 mouthpipe if we use the Bach numbering _________________ Technology alone is a poor substitute for experience. (Richard Sachs) |

Well I received the horn yesterday. It was in better shape than anticipated and surprisingly way lighter than I had expected.
Easy play, nice sound through all registers. Didn't get a lot of time on the horn as I had to thoroughly clean it first but on first impressions very nice.
I will give a better update in a few weeks. |
