Good for you. You're off to a great start.

One more tip, the great Rafael Mendez often said:

SCALES, SCALES AND MORE SCALES,

And he is correct. I am in my 80s now but did most of my playing when I was in my teens and twenties. Sometimes I think I can play the way I did back then, but I can't and this leads to injuries. One injury kept me from playing for close to a month. Guess what got me back to where I was before the injury...yep SCALES, SCALES AND MORE SCALES !
