I"ve come across several cornets where the lead pipe has a bend in it.
Is this normal?

"Normal" in the sense that lots of horns get the leadpipe or bell bent downward over years of use/abuse. That horn has been damaged, but a qualified repair tech should be able to put it back where it was meant to be. |
