where to buy music pdfs

I'm just getting back into playing my trumpet and am looking for trumpet music pdfs to download. Back when I last played, I had to order paper music. Are there reputable sites to buy downloadable music? I'm hesitant to download from random sites that say the music is free and I'm seeing some sites that are subscription-based but don't know which would be the best to use. Also, what recommended websites or apps have music with backup bands you can play along with besides what I'm finding on youtube. Thanks for the help!

What kind of music are you looking for? Arbans, Schlossburg, Wurm, Clarke Technical Studies, and some others are old enough that they are public domain. They can be downloaded from many sites.

Much current music can be purchased at Sheet Music Plus, or sometimes at other sites like Amazon (although Amazon might force you into Kindle format, which you will have to convert to pdf if that is your wish). There is also Hal Leonard, too.

Welcome back to trumpet playing! qPress (qpress.ca) is a great source for trumpet music to purchase in PDF format. IMSLP (imslp.org) is a great source for music in the public domain.

Was planning to buy Arban's and Clarke's again so I'm glad to hear it may be free online.

I wanted to find classical music I remember playing, Napoli, Hindesmith Sonata.

Also was looking for Big Band, swing music with backup band. In the 80's this meant a record and paper music, but I'm sure it's somewhere in the digital google-verse, I just need to look harder.
