Reasons for and against Bb / C switchable horns

A Bach 239 bell and 25s full length Bb leadpipe make a real nice Bb when the longer slides are added. Even better is a 226 bell on the Bb side. I had both and used the 226 in Bb and C. Great horns. The 25s pipe is a Bb length pipe. A short C length pipe can be problematic with intonation on the Bb side.
