I agree nothing beats the sound and playability of a good Bach. He sounds amazing on that horn.

Hilarious. Bach's owners should be pushing this vid with all of their might.

Yes, buy a Bach and you too can increase your range by two octaves!

. . . and, if you believe that, I also have a bridge that I would like to sell you.

However, Kudos to Rashawn . . . not easy getting the air in the horn vibrating at such high frequencies.

I should have been more thorough in my comments, I suppose.
The high range that he gets with the Strad is cool, and perhaps impressive to some, but to have a guy playing the genre he is known for voicing his appreciation of a Strad and then going on about it... Huge plus for the Bach company, in my opinion. Very big deal, especially in light of the companies less that stellar consistency in the last 20 years or so. I'm aware that they have supporters of their more recent consistency, and good for them, but they have many that are less than impressed with Bach horns lately, and to see this vid... If I were a Bach higher-up, I'd feel a huge sense of exuberance.
