I just received my new Edwards X-13 in silver plate through my friends at Austin Custom Brass.

The horn is an absolute delight to play, and I know I am going to love making some sweet music with it, but I want to publicly thank Trent Austin, Josh, and Nate at ACB.

These guys do so much more than sell professional equipment. Trent took the time and effort to talk with me about several of the trumpets I was considering, and gave me his best honest advice on the best equipment for me and the style of music that I play. All of you that know Trent know him as a great player, and as a great guy who is always available for professional advice and consultation. I consider him a real professional in every sense of the word, and a friend.

Hats off to Trent, Josh, and Nate at ACB and the wonderful job they do for all of us in the trumpet playing community. They are truly the TOP OF THE CLASS in brass!

You got that right, Richard. All the horns I own, except the Getzen, came from Trent's operation. Trent is great, though I usually work with Josh, who will do everything he can for his clients. I live in Canada and buying used from a USA dealer take a lot of faith, and that is something I have plenty of in Austin Custom Brass.

Enjoy your new trumpet, Richard. It sounds like a beaut.

George

Trent and his Team at ACB are BEYOND the real deal. I have said it before and I will say it again. They are not just out to make a sale. They are looking to further assist and educate anyone looking to take the next step in their equipment and playing. The team there cares about the wellness of the musical community, not just the dollar signs. I am a firm supporter of their operation and mission!

Second to people's props for Trent and crew.

I just got my newest mouthpiece back from replating, as it has my rim cut on it now. It's the MV3CS, which is a little shallower than the 3C copy. Great piece, I think this is what I'll be working with.

Trent's a player, and that makes a huge difference in the functionality of what you get. He knows how good the X-13 is, it's crazy good, IMO.

Trent is a great player and a truly great guy!

He has put a professional team together at ACB, but as I told Trent, any company's character and culture comes from the man at the top.

I tip my hat to Trent Austin and his great team at ACB!

I bought a gold plated Schagerl Killer Queen flugelhorn from Trent and the experience of working with him and his crew was absolutely everything I could have hoped for. Trent, his crew, the shop and the experience were all awesome!

I know this thread has been dead for a couple of years, but I was just wondering if anyone knew how long ACB sales lasted. I'm looking at the ACB Doubler's Flugel (17% off right now!!!), but it costs $$ and I'm a high schooler with a limited budget so it will take me a couple of months to save up for this horn.
Thanks!

Reach out and tell them your situation. They might extend the sale for you.

Unless you have a discount code, I think the price listed on the website is the "normal" price. I think - but am not 100% sure about this - that they're marked down to $744.99 all the time.

If you're worried, just email the ACB folks and see what they say. Customer service there is usually great.

If I lived anywhere within several hours drive, I would be in there every weekend trying horns until they banned me

Seconded. Their knowledge, products, and especially customer service is exemplary. I would struggle to think of ways any of my experiences with them could be improved, and in more than one case they went way beyond my expectations.
