Today, I listened to various trumpet players in recordings of Alpine Symphony. I have to say that a live recording of Seattle, released in 2019, was the standout. I havn't heard one yet that equaled an 80's radio broadcast of the NY Philharmonic with Phil Smith on first, but this one by Seattle is really quite amazing. If you need inspiration, check it out. |

Have you heard the Minnesota one with Manny playing principal? Because oh boy, you need to. _________________ (List horns here) |

I've heard many and agree that the Phil Smith broadcast performance is a standout. What a shame the orchestra didn't record it at the time. |
