Was browsing and ended up getting a Leblanc (Courtois) Flugelhorn. Seller says its from the 50s based on serial number (6490). I am assuming if it does not have any engraving besides the serial number and the LeBlanc near the bell its a student horn? And it did not come with a mouthpiece so from my research it takes the Bach Small Morse taper. |

Many old LeBlancs take a French-taper mouthpiece. If it's a Bach taper it's either been altered or was for export. They only made one model of LeBlanc. Noblet was the level below that. _________________ "Strive for tone." -John Coppola
