I heard a meme yesterday on Sirius XM ...it was about guitars, but it works as well or perhaps even better for trumpets...

All the trumpets you own + 2 = Happiness

Happiness is an absurd concept. Objects don't do anything other than fill a requirement.

You're welcome.

Happiness is French silk pie, not a trumpet.

That just goes to show how factually accurate memes are.

Guitars...pffftt....

I'd be happy if I could just have a 20,000 square foot shop filled with the following things:

1. trumpets
2. organs
3. bicycles
4. old woodworking machinery
5. guns

I would agree with the gentleman that said a return to gigging made him happy. Around the world millions of musicians had their vocations and avocations curtailed by the COVID. To read comments in here about when bands could go back to playing. That was cool. I would like to add that hearing certain music will always make me feel warm, comfortable and secure.

The last of the groups I was playing with before Covid is going to start up rehearsals finally again next week. That makes me happy, even though gigs are still few and far between, partly because a lot of fellow musicians aren't comfortable playing indoor gigs right now, even if they're vaccinated.

Outdoor is okay in Texas this time of year, but really hoping that changes soon.

the only musicians to whom this does not apply are pianists, because there is not enough space for every piano!

What about organists? Not every home can accommodate a full pipe organ while many could fit a grand piano.

For example, the Wanamaker organ has 28,482 pipes played by the organist from six consoles.

One state of happiness is the state of flow when you are playing, really into the music and nailing it as you want to, hyper-attentive, so you are even cognizant of the the flow of air through your lips and all the music you want to make. It is not the only state of happiness, but it is one of them.

You just nailed it!
Entering this state of flow - diving deep into the music all the the music and nothing but the music!
And it´s addictive. Requires a daily dosis. No cure available. But why get cured?
