Not sure if this is the correct forum, but here goes.

I've got a 1959 Selmer K-Modified. Beautiful horn, but came in a case that has seen better days. Lots of better days. It's the big suitcase-sized case, which makes it very clunky to carry around, even if it were in good condition, which it's not.

My question is: What's a good smaller case for my horn? I see lots of them on-line, but when I email the sellers asking if they will fit a Selmer K-Mod with a first-valve trigger, no one seems able to give a clear answer. It's usually along the lines of "Well, it should, but you can always return it if it doesn't."

Can anyone out there give me a solid lead on a case that actually will fit my horn and its first-valve trigger? I'd sure like to find one.

Thanks in advance.

The term "case" these days is pretty broad. I have a K Mod large bore 25 that is in the big Samsonite case. I have a big collection of horns and cases, and the K Mod fits well in any number of them from basic gig bags to old Strad single cases and multiple horn cases. Are you looking for something like a lightweight Protec zip up "expanded foam" nylon covered case with room for the horn and mouthpiece, or a more traditional wood framed leather covered box type case with storage?

The covered box type, though I don't need "storage" for anything much more than a mouthpiece. I'm most concerned with protecting the horn.

I don't have a K-Mod but I do have a Selmer Radial. It fits just fine in my Marcus Bonna cases.
