I found my way back to playing Trumpet and Cornet all over again, after major, major, oral surgery, complete full dentures, etc... and re-learning how to play all over again.
Where there is a will, there is a way! It can be done!

Your sound and voice are very good in your video. Did you use the same microphone or a different one? And what camera did you use?
Thank you... I used my Nikon DSLR camera on a tripod (in video mode) with the 18-55mm small zoom lens, and with the built-in microphone. I edited the video in Windows 10 on my laptop, cropping it, so you don't see me walking back to where I stood after I pressed "Record" and also when I give a little "thumbs-up" sign at the end and start walking back to the camera. _________________ 1967 Holton Collegiate Trumpet --> my grade school band trumpet. Oral surgery! Not quite the same, but I tripped last year, fell on concrete on my face, gouged my lip and broke a tooth. I thought I would never be able to play again, because I tried a few times over the last year and I couldn't even get my lips to buzz. Then about a week ago, I put more effort into it, and I'm learning to play all over again. Scar tissue might end up making me have to switch embouchure position, which would be really hard, but I might end up with better tone. I need a professional opinion, probably.
I'm 42 now and the last time I regularly played, I was 20. Ouch. Before the injury, I could still pick up up and play a bit whenever; I'm so excited to be able to play again.
So we're kind of in the same boat; did you get any advice on how to play after the surgery?
