It's a good thing you list your location as "Here and there".

The best part is, you’ve proven to not know what it is your discussing. I sent you my number with the possibility you’d want to discuss, rather than troll. I’m happy to actually show you. But, you want to argue semantics.
I’m willing to cover the room, just as long as you keep pretending to be someone else.
Have you tried the unity piece? Didn’t you claim unless you had something to add, move on? Lol

Maybe Yamaha motor company can help you choose a better mouthpiece, right?

I know, right? And his projection is off the charts. In his mind everyone must disprove his specious notions while he must prove nothing. That's pretty well literally the definition of trolling.

Projection, touché
You are refusing to reach out and discuss. Offer is still open.

To recap for others in this thread:

"Dave charging roughly 410X the cost of a mouthpiece seems a hard justification."

Unproven. When pressed, the commenter first tells me to disprove his assertion, then calls the claim hyperbole even though it clearly wasn't written as such, and later on calls the 410x claim my assertion. This is bad faith trolling personified.

"He makes claims that contradict themselves and literally offers no proof for his claims. He drives up the price for other makers."

Entirely unsubstantiated. Commenter refuses to elaborate.

" Let’s compare Yamaha with Monette; $30 versus $400 retail"

Yamaha mouthpieces haven't been $30 in a long time. Also why are we comparing not-gold-plated mouthpieces to gold-plated mouthpieces given how gold-plating adds anywhere from $60 to $100 to the cost of a mouthpiece from several popular makers? Commenter is unable to answer any of this.

Then commenter purposefully misquotes one of my earlier comments to make it appear as I made a math mistake. Too long to rehash here; it's on page 5 of this thread. Again, childish trolling.

"Also, a new Bach gp megatone is $159.99"

Not at WWBW. Or Prowinds. Not on Amazon. Or Music & Arts. Or Walmart. Or at most major retailers of Bach mouthpieces. Now, might there be someone somewhere willing to sell at a loss to clear inventory or bring people into the store? Of course - but the same can apply to Monette retailers, too. Commenter will of course refuse to accept this possibility, just as he refuses to acknowledge that in real dollars the cost of a Monette Unity mouthpiece is only 20% more expensive than the cost of a Monette mouthpiece in the mid-1990s. If only health care or education costs grew so slowly...

Now watch as said commenter once again evades all of this, tells me and others that we must continue to disprove his unsubstantiated pap and drivel, and probably give me his phone number another few times.

Well in his defense on mouthpieceexpress.com gold megatone mouthpieces are 159.99. I just checked. Jwpepper has them for 161.99.

Looks like we have an amateur hack attacking a pro for their very benign comments.. I love how this happens from time to time on here. They have already addressed all your concerns, move back under your bridge.

I started this thread because I was excited that there is a new tool available to trumpet players, IF they want to use it.

This isn't a negative thing at all. Don't be upset that something is priced higher than other things. Just don't buy it if you don't want to.

Looks like Monette got the branding wrong on this one. Should have been "Fight Club".

Aw, NUTS. I was hoping that SMrtn's image of a smugly bemused "Unity" from Rick and Morty would be the final post. Such a perfect closer for this particular thread . . .
