This is about as Dummy 101 question as it gets, but what is the best cheese cloth to clean your valves with? New horn Thanks.

Not sure what the best cheese cloth is. But I use the MagicFiber Microfiber Cleaning Cloths as part of my weekly cleaning.

- I use a microfiber cloth to wipe down the outside of my valves.

- I use a cleaning rod to run a microfiber cloth through the valve casings.

- I also use a regular tissue to wipe any crud off the vents on the bottom of each valve and out of the inside of each bottom valve cap.

I purchase cheesecloth from The Horn Guys in Pasadena, CA. The 3-yard single pack is $6.00. I cut the cloth into pieces appropriately sized for swabbing the valves and casings, and keep them clean and grit-free in a zip-lock bag in my trumpet case.
