Model 106..... Bell material Bronze...... Leadpipe material Bronze...... Valve type Piston..... And if those clues are not enough, you would think the non-Bach braces, the drastic step change from leadpipe to slide sleeve, or the lower sleeve extending a foot with a drastic step change to the bell tail inserted inside it, would tell someone this is a cobbled-up creation.
I thought a few yeas back when a G bugle almost built like one of Bach's (except for the short lengths and improper added unions splicing them) with an almost perfect copy of the bell crest from a trombone (the number then giving away the tracing -as did the slipping of the copy/reducing tool widening the "Y") sold for hundreds, that was sad. This is just stunning.

Looks like the 106 was returned to the seller and is now selling under a different ID. |
