Would it be possible to add in the search options a "search by title only", to search only the titles of the posts?

I don't speak for the forum administrator, but:
1. New features are rarely added to this site, and
2. Most people don't bother with the on-site search, using google (or another search engine) instead. Add site:trumpetherald.com to your query.
You can apparently restrict the google search to the titles with the term allintitle:
So for example, search google for | Code: | | allintitle:xeno 8335 site:trumpetherald.com |
https://www.google.com/search?q=allintitle%3Axeno+8335+site%3Atrumpetherald.com

Trumpet Herald runs on an old codebase and the search function isn't very useful.
It's fine to complain about, but it's unlikely to change. I don't run the site, I don't pay for the site, I don't do maintenance on the site, so I don't feel like I have any right to gripe about it too much.
The solution is just to go to Google Advanced search, and use trumpet herald as the domain. Google will search trumpet herald for whatever you ask of it, then. It works quite well. Just do that.

This was neither a gripe nor a complaint. Just a suggestion responding to the invitation of the administrator who is asking for suggestions plainly on the index page of the forum: "Post your thoughts on how we can improve TrumpetHerald.com". I too am very appreciative of the existence of TH, just the way it is, and I thank Todd for still working at making it better. |
