Hi all and happy holidays!
In looking for trumpet only solos I found lots of music by Hans Jorgen Messerschmidt on IMSLP, but not finding out much. He has some very nice hornpipes that I've been working through. Does anyone know more about him?

Also, any suggestions on trumpet-only literature? Here are my favorites so far:
- Lion-Hearted by Eddie Lewis
- Trumpet Songs by Jennifer Higdon (writted for piano & trumpet, but much of it stands alone)
- #2 (Three Lovely Birds from Paradise), #3 (Roundelay) - from Ravel's Three Chansons for Brass Quintet (arr Bill Holcombe, Jr)
- Aero Hornpipe, Abashiri Hornpipe (Messerschmidt)

thanks, Chris
