Does anyone know where I can get a Leadpipe, cheaply?

I just want to use it for the Leadpipe Exercise, so don't need anything precise i.e. to enhance stock leadpipe brand X. Just a simple, no frills Leadpipe.

BTW, I've used a search and just keep coming up with "boutique" pipes like from M/K Drawing, etc. Thought one of you might know a company that has these, but doesn/'t advertise them. Thanks

Ask your local repair shop if they have any laying around. I’ve had success with this in the past.

You can always look at the mouthpiece express catalog for lead pipes and buy the cheapest one: https://mouthpieceexpress.com/catalog/advanced_search_result.php?search_in_description=1&keywords=Leadpipe

Click on price to sort rom lowest to highest, seems to be some Bach student ones in the $30 range.

Best of luck

Assuming your local repair shop won't get you one cheaply, just get a beater horn off Shop Goodwill or ebay and take it off with a plumbing torch.

Thanks, Marc. Found and ordered. Saved me a bunch of money. Boy, what a cumbersome order process, though. Got it, though. Grateful. Thanks, again.

You can use a piece of stiff garden hose for this exercise, works perfect, very cheap and cannot be damaged, cut it off at the same length as the leadpipe of your Bflat and you will score a concert D.

$50 + shipping gets you an Eastman leadpipe meant just for buzzing.

$30 +shipping gets you an Eastman leadpipe for buzzing or installation on Eastman trumpet. (Mouthpieceexpress.com)

shopgoodwill.com - look for a destroyed student trumpet with a good leadpipe. Shipping from Goodwill is frequently only $10 - $15. If you are lucky you might get a usable case, mute or mouthpiece to boot.

Keep your eye on eBay - now and then you can find one for $30 including shipping.

Local pawn shops of course.
