I’m quite impressed with the Charlie Melk leadpipes I’ve received. They relieve the tightness in the upper register on my Bach chicago C. Beautiful sound as well

I agree. His 525's are great.

Hi, I’m having an MV525 installed at Osmun next week and adding one of Charlie Melk’s bronze tuning slides. I can’t wait to play it.

I have a Melk MTV525 on my Bach 37. Jim Becker at Osmun blueprinted the horn. It plays beautifully, the tone is wonderful. You will be very pleased.

I play a Stork Vacchiano mouthpiece. It completes a very classic set up IMHO.

Haven't played any of his C trumpet leadpipes. For Bb, I really liked the MTV-525, and really didn't like the EB-525.

I just received my 47 NY Bach back from Charlie. He did an amazing job overhauling the trumpet and he put a new leadpipe on as well. I'm very pleased with the end result.

I'm also a fan. I installed an MTV525 leadpipe with the MTV receiver and it helped open up my 37 Strad. It's been close to 20 years that I've had it on there and it still plays better than when it was new.

Ditto on the Elkhart Bb pipes...they really even out the horn.
