I have an older Stomvi elite picc which came to me second hand with an Osmun leadpipe for a trumpet shank mouthpiece. I'd like to try other mouthpieces than the Stork short trumpet-shanked mouthpiece that came with it.
I'm wondering if I could find a Schilke cornet-shanked leadpipe, would it be compatible so I could test out other mouthpieces? Cornet mouthpieces are much more accessible to try out than short-shanked trumpet.
Thanks in advance,

Very few pic pipes interchange across brands, or even models, BUT you have picked the 2 that will. You may need to polish it down a little, but over the years, I had 3 Stomvi elites and was able to use Schilke pipes on all. I think Stomvi had cornet shanks, as well. _________________ huntman10

Thanks a lot, that's good to know. I'll try to track down a cornet-tapered leadpipe to try out. |
