I have a gig playing at a school commencement in a few weeks and was asked to bring in a piece for trumpet and organ to fill in about 20 minutes for the pre and post ceremony time slot. Is there anyone out there who might have some ideas for repertoire?

Ed Tarr edited some great music for trumpet and organ in the 70s. It’s under the Brass Press label. Most, if not all, was performed by him on the two albums on nonesuch, baroque music for trumpet and organ.

Telemann 12 Marches héroïques is a great collection that might be exactly what you're looking for. You can easily rest on every other movement, or simply on the repeats, or both. Have the organ cover, come back in, etc. Plus, they're available for free on IMSLP.

I know it's a lot to dig into, but you might find something useful here: https://www.stretta-music.com/en/trumpet-with-organ?stretta_session=

Hakan Hardenberger has two discs of recordings of trumpet and organ, "Prières sans paroles" and "Trumpet and Organ Spectacular," which are chock full of excellent and usually very difficult pieces.
