Have seen so many ways to clean Trumpet valves from the way out in left field to descent suggestions. What sre some of the ways you do this??

But once they are clean I have had really good luck with using the the blow dry brass system when I’m done playing for the day. Then I oil the valves before I first play everyday.

I don’t have those brown deposits on the inside on my valve ports. Just a couple of tiny dots from that time I forgot to use the bdb system, my valves still look new inside and out!

Here are some solid videos to help. I will include that polishing the valves beyond cleaning them is unnecessary. If the brass in the ports is a bit discolored don't worry about it - and the process of getting everything to a high shine is a form of wear and tear. Soak in a little warm soapy (Dawn) water, wipe off, and use a good oil.
